Description:

CDC?s Procurement and Grants Office has published a program announcement entitled, ?Epidemiologic HIV/AIDS Research among African American and Hispanic Women at Risk for HIV Infection in the Southern United States and Puerto Rico.? $1,000,000 [this amount is an estimate, and subject to the availability of funds] will be available in fiscal year 2005 to fund approximately three to four awards. The purpose of the project is to support research on the epidemiologic, socio-cultural, structural, psychological, and behavioral factors that promote HIV infection in African American and Hispanic women; and to increase understanding of the factors related to the prevalence of HIV infection, and incidence of recent infection, in these populations.
